Travel service OneTwoTrip sees 20-fold rise in hotel applications

MOSCOW, Mar 30 (PRIME) -- Russian travel service OneTwoTrip has registered a 20-fold increase in applications to work on direct contracts from hotels after Booking.com left the market, Denis Drozdovsky, head of the hotel division at OneTwoTrip, told PRIME on Wednesday.

“The majority of Russian hotels are present on OneTwoTrip and many of them have direct contracts with us. And despite this, applications multiply from hotels daily to get connected to the service directly. With Booking.ñom’s withdrawal from the market, the number of requests on direct contracts has spiked by more than 20 times,” Drozdovsky said.

Direct contracts help the service make a high-quality hotel product for clients and partners, he said.

Booking.com said on March 5 that the Dutch company was forced to pause the provision of its services in Russia.
